Our problem
Too many signals, not enough time.
Race calendars, team announcements, rider updates, interviews, social posts, product launches, evergreen search demand. The opportunity was there, but the workflow was too manual.
Use cases
Velora is for editorial teams with a clear audience, a distinct voice, and more source material than they can reasonably process by hand.
Our journey
I've spent nearly twenty years in editorial. In that time the technology we use to create content hasn't changed substantially, but the pressures have compounded.
There's more competition, more demand for output, and an overwhelming volume of information to survey. That's squeezed time for writing and reporting, and piled on manual, repetitive publishing tasks. AI is a clear chance to reverse that.
Danny has spent his career in product. Between us, we kept arriving at the same conclusion: the tools editors actually needed didn't exist, and the tools being built for them were aimed at output, not craft.
Most of the conversation around AI treats it as a threat to that craft. We think it's the thing that can give craft back its space.
Velora started inside Velora Cycling, our own specialist publication — just the two of us, building the product between us each day, because editors with deep subject expertise shouldn't be stuck doing mechanical work. They should be the ones building the systems.
Our problem
Race calendars, team announcements, rider updates, interviews, social posts, product launches, evergreen search demand. The opportunity was there, but the workflow was too manual.
Our solution
Velora monitors sources, scores story opportunities, researches context, plans structure, writes in the publication's style, validates claims, and sends drafts to the CMS for human review.
Our clients
What publishers using Velora are seeing on the ground — across different sectors, geographies, and team sizes.
“As a cycling medium you can never be in three places at once. Velora gives us exactly that — productivity up 100%, creation time cut by 75%.”
“Velora dramatically reduced the time we put into day-to-day news. It's let us reallocate resources to new types of content that would have been much slower to roll out otherwise. The content moves into our CMS with zero friction and requires minimal editorial input.”
Multi-sector by design
Every specialist publisher has sources to watch, judgements to make, facts to verify, and a house style to protect. Velora adapts to those conditions instead of forcing every team into the same generic AI workflow.
